SBS are reportedly being investigated by police after Wendy from Red Velvet suffered facial, pelvic and wrist injuries after falling 2.5 metres during rehearsals.
Red Velvet were rehearsing at the annual SBS Gayo Daejeon show in Christmas Day when Wendy fell from the stage and is still recovering from the injuries.
According to allkpop.com, police are now involved in the investigation into the incident, following an internal investigation by SBS.
It was previously reported that Wendy had been instructed to head towards a platform on stage, but the stairs she was supposed to head down were missing and there were no stage markers fir her to see in the dark.
Red Velvet fans have since created an account, @ReleaseApology, on Twitter, where it was claimed Korean police are now investigating.
The Twitter account stated: ‘Report on last week’s Team RASBS activities. We submitted petitions to various Korean Authorities.

‘Guro District Office(Local government managing GS Dome) is now investigating whether SBS violated the Disaster Preparedness Plan SBS initially submitted to the District Office.
‘Korean Police is now investigating the Incident under the charge of “Negligence causing grievous bodily harm”.
‘We don’t know yet whether Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency or Guro Police Station is conducting the investigation.’
SBS issued an apology to Wendy and Red Velvet after the injury, saying: ‘We wish to apologise once more regarding 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon.
‘During the rehearsals for Gayo Daejeon on December 25, an unfortunate accident took place. SBS wishes to once more sincerely apologise to Red Velvet’s Wendy, who was injured, as well as her family, the members of Red Velvet, and fans.
‘As Wendy’s recovery comes before all else, the director of SBS’s entertainment division and the staff have been working closely with her agency SM Entertainment since the accident occurred, and we are doing our best to provide adequate treatment for her injuries.’
They added: ‘Right after the accident took place on December 25, the staff blocked off the area and called for emergency services so that Wendy could be rushed to the hospital and undergo a thorough examination.
‘We have begun an internal investigation into understanding the exact details of the accident, and once we fully understand the cause, we will take greater care to ensure that such an accident does not occur again.

‘Wendy is currently undergoing inpatient treatment and examination at a hospital in Seoul. SBS promises to do our best to work with Wendy’s family and the medical staff to ensure that Wendy has a quick and full recovery.
‘Once again, we wish to sincerely apologise to Red Velvet’s Wendy and her family.’
