Red Velvet’s Wendy has unfortunately suffered an injury ahead of 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon.
On December 25, SM Entertainment released a statement regarding Wendy’s injury, and has stated that Red Velvet will unfortunately not be able to perform at 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon. Their statement reads as follows:
We come to fans with unfortunate news.
During the rehearsal for 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon today, Wendy suffered an injury. Wendy was immediately taken to the hospital, where she is currently being treated. And we will notify you again when the exact cause of her injury is determined.
As a result, Red Velvet is not able to attend the pre-recording and live show of 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon. We ask for the understanding of fans who are currently at the venue.
Red Velvet was scheduled to perform at 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon, with Wendy set to perform a collaboration stage with Oh My Girls’ Seunghee, GFRIEND’s Eunha, and MAMAMOO’s Solar.
